Los Angeles Protests against ICE

Los Angeles saw a series of demonstrations against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), with protesters condemning the agency’s detention and deportation policies.

Activists, immigrant rights groups, and community members gathered outside federal buildings and ICE facilities, calling for an end to raids, the closure of detention centers, and broader immigration reforms. Some rallies included civil disobedience, leading to arrests.

The protests were part of ongoing nationwide efforts by advocacy groups to push for more humane treatment of migrants and asylum seekers. Local officials and organizations joined in solidarity, amplifying demands for systemic change in U.S. immigration enforcement.

During these days I followed developments from the DW newsroom during night shifts and created these reports.
